How we describe each camera
Tested & Working
Applicable essential functions were checked and worked during inspection. Review the listing for limitations.
Partially Tested
Some functions remain unverified or a known issue limits operation.
Untested
Functionality has not been verified. Working condition is not guaranteed.
For Parts / Non-functional
A major fault is known or the camera is not operational.
Appearance ≠ Functionality
A camera with scratches can still work well. A spotless-looking camera may be untested. We describe cosmetic condition separately from functional results, using grades such as Excellent, Very Good, Good and Acceptable.
Review the photos of the actual unit and its disclosed wear.
Accessories vary by unit
Batteries, chargers, memory cards, cases, straps and lens caps are included only when specifically listed. Check each product’s What’s Included section.
A note about film and specialty cameras
Film cameras may be checked for power, shutter, flash, controls and film-door operation without a fresh roll of film. Unless a listing explicitly says otherwise, film transport, developed-image quality and final film results remain unverified. Waterproof or shockproof designations do not mean we have verified water resistance or impact protection on a used unit.
What our inspection doesn’t guarantee
Our results describe what we observed at the time of testing, not a factory certification or guarantee of future performance. Battery capacity, long-term reliability, every shooting mode and image quality in every setting may not be fully assessed. The individual product listing is the source of truth for completed tests, known issues and included accessories.
